Physical Fitness Standards for NDA 2025

You need to be medically and physically fit to join the defence services. Here’s a summary of what’s expected:

  • Tattoo Rules: Tattoos are allowed only on the inner forearms and back of the hand (exceptions for tribal candidates).
  • Chest Expansion: Minimum 81 cm when expanded with at least a 5 cm difference.
  • Hearing: Should be able to hear a whisper from 6 meters in each ear.
  • Teeth: At least 14 dental points with healthy teeth.
